Jets Offensive Starters: No. 14 Greg McElroy, No. 25 Joe McKnight, No. 42 Terrance Ganaway (at fullback), No. 88 Patrick Turner, No. 17 Jordan White and No. 83 Dedrick Epps (with No. 19 Eron Riley as third receiver), No. 63 Jason Smith (LT), No. 62 Vlad Ducasse (LG), No. 72 Caleb Schlauderaff (C), No. 66 Matt Kroul (RG) and No. 77 Austin Howard (RT)

First Quarter:

During the period, Quinton Coples took down Eagles running back Bryce Brown for a five-yard loss, plus batted a pass at line of scrimmage and got a sack on Foles since he forced Foles out of bounds behind the line. Greg McElroy used his legs to run for consecutive first downs. Spencer Lanning's first punt was downed just inside the 10 yard line. Joe McKnight started the Jets second series with an 18-yard run.

Second Quarter:

McElroy hit Dedrick Epps for a first down pass play. Then Bilal Powell would run 12 yards for another first down. McKnight would gain 11 yards on third down and 12 to go. McElroy would run for the first down along the sideline on fourth down. McElroy would then find Royce Pollard and Eron Riley to gain another first down and goal to go. McElroy would hit Terrence Ganaway for six yards and the Jets first touchdown of the preseason. The Eagles would drive and later tie the game at 7 on a Brown touchdown run to the left edge on second and goal. Former Bill, Trent Edwards would connect with former Jet Marty Gilyard for another touchdown. Nick Folk would make his only attempt of the night a 58 yard field goal, with a lot of leg behind it, as the half expired.

Third Quarter:

Greg McElroy got the start on the opening series of the second half, but it was only highlighted by him connecting with Riley for nine yards and a first down. Spencer Lanning's second punt would start his downward trend at only 38 yards. Matt Simms finally got in at quarterback on the Jets second series, but didn't help produce an positive offense. Lanning's third punt was only 34 yards, clearly cinching the job for T.J. Conley.

Fourth Quarter:

Isaiah Trufant had excellent coverage on Eagles wide receiver Chad Hall defending two passes meant for him in end zone during the quarter. Rookie tackle Robert Griffin gave up a sack on Matt Simms, who went down at least four times, since he was taking too much time on his reads. T.J Conley did take on some of the punting duties and boomed one 49 yards with good hang time, that was returned for only six yards. Lanning got in one final punt but it was for only 30 yards.

Now the New York Jets will look toward the September 9th opener against the division rival Buffalo Bills. The hope is that all starters that missed any time during the preseason, especially Sione Pouha, Santonio Holmes, Dustin Keller, Mike DeVito and Eric Smith will all be ready for that game. Marcus Dixon did suffer an apparent right arm stinger but should be fine for the opener as well.
