Hope and concern: New York Jets - ESPN (blog)

The New York Jets looked great in their 48-28 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.

Here is a reason to be hopeful and concerned about the Jets in Week 2:

Reason for hope: Momentum

The Jets suddenly have momentum and confidence heading after a complete performance against the Bills. New York got points on offense, defense and special teams in the game. The Jets are feeling good and erased a lot of pressure by getting in the win column. Quarterback Mark Sanchez playing well also puts a stop to the Tim Tebow drama for a while. This is not a must-win game for the Jets. They can play loose and bring their best without worry to Pittsburgh.

Reason for concern: Steelers

This is a big game for the Steelers (0-1). They are a playoff contender that will be desperate not to fall to 0-2. Pittsburgh is a prideful, veteran team that will present a much stiffer challenge to the Jets. The Steelers have an elite quarterback, various receivers and a very good defense. The Jets will not be able to bully the Steelers like they did the Bills. Pittsburgh will be favored to get back to .500. The Jets could make an even bigger statement if they win this game in Week 2.
