New York Jets vice president and college scouting executive Joey Clinkscales, right, is seen next to general manager Mike Tannenbaum during a pre-draft news conference at the team's training facility, Thursday, April 21, 2011. Clinkscales could be joining his former high school and college teammate, Reggie McKenzie, the Raiders general manager.

General manager Reggie McKenzie could be reunited with former high school and college teammate Joey Clinkscales, according to an ESPNNewYork.com report.

Clinkscales, the New York Jets director of college scouting since 2008, will part with the organization, according to league sources, with Oakland the likely destination.

McKenzie, the first general manager other than Al Davis to run the Raiders draft room since 1963, said following the hiring of coach Dennis Allen he didn't expect to make any changes in the scouting department until after the draft.

Clinkscales was the quarterback at Austin-East High School in Knoxville, Tenn., while McKenzie and his brother Raleigh were two-way players. Clinkscales also went to Tennessee along with the McKenzies.

During the offseason, Clinkscales interviewed for the general manager position for the St. Louis Rams.
