On Saturday night, The Miami Heat beat the New Jersey Nets 101-90. With the win, the Heat moved to 8-1 on the season and own the best record in the NBA.
Lebron James was back in the Heat lineup after having missed the previous game against the Atlanta Hawks last Thursday night. Dwyane Wade was out of the Heat lineup for a third straight game. The last time Wade was on the court was when the Heat suffered their only defeat of the season, losing to the Atlanta Hawks 100-92 on Monday night. According to The Associated Press, both Wade and James were game time decisions. The Heat let James play, while giving Wade another game off to rest his injured left foot.
Lebron finished the game with 32 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. This game was Lebron Jamesâ serving notice that he was back and ready to play. This is what James told The AP after the game, âIf I feel like Iâm good to go, then Iâm going to go out and play my game. Iâm not going to give no restriction, just try to do the things I do out on the court and I was able to get a couple of breakaways, some easy points, get to the free throw line and I was able to test the ankle out in the first quarter.â
According to ESPN.com, Lebron James sustained an ankle sprain during the Miami Heat game against the Indiana Pacers last Wednesday night.
